Against the backdrop of the continued advancement of China's tiered diagnosis and treatment system and the development of closely integrated medical consortia, ultrasound, as a non-invasive, portable, and low-cost imaging modality, is a core tool for primary-level screening and early cancer screening. It deeply integrates with physicians' actual scanning workflows, analyzes ultrasound video streams in real time, automatically detects suspicious lesions, identifies standard planes, and assists in retaining key images. Ecosystem Co-Building: The "1+3+N" Model Enables End-to-End Regional Collaboration
Together with Huawei and telecommunications operators, Maide Intelligent has established combined capabilities encompassing "AI applications + computing-power foundation + region-wide dedicated network + local delivery" and proposed a "1+3+N" deployment model. Under this model, a regional digital and intelligent ultrasound platform is established through health commissions or lead hospitals within medical consortia; AI quality control, AI-assisted diagnosis, and intelligent screening serve as the core capabilities; and township health centers, community health service centers, and medical examination institutions serve as large-scale deployment nodes. Huawei provides the Ascend computing-power foundation and a cloud-edge-device collaborative technology architecture, while telecommunications operators leverage region-wide dedicated networks and local operational capabilities to bridge the last mile. The three parties work together to embed AI capabilities throughout the entire ultrasound workflow, enabling "intelligent standardization" of ultrasound diagnosis. At present, the solution has been deployed at hundreds of Class III Grade A hospitals, including West China Hospital, Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, and the 301 Hospital, as well as nearly 100 district- and county-level medical consortia. Ultrasound scanning quality-control efficiency has increased by 80%, repetitive work for medical staff has been reduced by 70%, and each hospital can save several million yuan annually in quality-control operating costs, achieving a three-way win-win of improved hospital quality, reduced physician workload, and precise screening closer to the public.
