On April 2, 2026, Huawei's European Region, together with a European healthcare delegation visiting China, embarked on a journey to explore the depth of China's medical technology capabilities. In addition to visiting leading national medical institutions such as West China Hospital, the delegation conducted an in-depth visit to MED Imaging AI, located at the Frontiers Medical Center in Chengdu, gaining firsthand experience of China's extensive foundation and strong capabilities in artificial intelligence for healthcare. The delegation first arrived at the Frontiers Medical Center campus, where MED Imaging AI is located. Its impressive scale and modern research environment left a deep impression on the European guests. Inside the company, the delegation experienced the focused and enthusiastic working atmosphere of its employees, a vivid reflection of its “AI FOR SOCIAL GOOD” philosophy.
The highlight of the visit was an intimate AI healthcare salon held at the Scientists Club within the campus. Following welcome remarks by Ms. Chen Yonghong, Chairwoman of MED Imaging AI, Dr. Mou Lichao, President of the Research Institute, systematically introduced the company's development history and technological strengths. He noted that MED Imaging AI was jointly founded by operating teams from several outstanding domestic medical institutions and focuses on artificial intelligence algorithms for medical big data. The company has developed a real-time AI diagnostic and treatment system for multiple disease types based on ultrasound imaging, as well as an AI bioinformatics data analysis platform based on genomics. In addition to establishing in-depth collaborations with leading global strategic partners, the company's integrated intelligent ultrasound diagnostic and treatment solutions have also achieved notable results. For example, its thyroid nodule assisted diagnosis software has obtained China's first Class III medical device registration certificate capable of providing benign or malignant recommendations.
Ms. Wang Yulian, Director of Data, then provided direct evidence of the reliability, practicality, and international capabilities of MED Imaging AI's products through a series of successful application cases in Türkiye. This real-world validation generated strong interest among members of the European delegation.
During the final exchange session, the two sides engaged in lively discussions on topics including the clinical application of AI products and data compliance. Many European guests also actively experienced MED Imaging AI's ultrasound AI-assisted diagnosis system firsthand, highly commending the precision and efficiency of “intelligent manufacturing in China.”
For MED Imaging AI, this visit was not only a demonstration of its technological capabilities, but also an important step in deepening global collaboration and serving broader markets.
