The 2026 Mobile World Congress (MWC26 Barcelona) was grandly held in Barcelona, Spain, from March 2 to 5. Under the theme “The IQ Era,” this year’s event focused on the deep integration of AI and communications technologies, attracting more than 2,400 leading technology companies from around the world. As a bellwether for the global communications and technology sectors, MWC26 not only showcased cutting-edge technologies including 5G-A, 6G, and satellite communications, but also served as a core platform for artificial intelligence to empower a wide range of industries.

Huawei, a global leading provider of ICT (information and communications technology) infrastructure and smart devices, participated under the core theme of “Advancing All Intelligence,” with a commitment to working with global partners to “build value-driven leading network and computing foundations to advance the digital and intelligent transformation of industries.” Within this strategic framework, MED Imaging AI, an important Huawei partner in the medical AI field, was invited to participate extensively in Huawei’s exhibition area and systematically showcase its flagship product, the Intelligent Ultrasound Integrated Diagnosis and Treatment Solution (IAS). The solution was presented simultaneously across Huawei’s three exhibition areas serving different industry scenarios, fully demonstrating Huawei’s ecosystem strategy of deeply integrating leading ICT capabilities with intelligent applications in vertical industries.

During the event, the dedicated “AI-Empowered Healthcare Joint Solution Launch” jointly hosted by Huawei and partners including MED Imaging AI became a focal point. Mr. Chen Zhi, Vice President of MED Imaging AI, attended the launch event and, together with representatives from Huawei and other parties, witnessed a new milestone in their cooperation. Following the event, Mr. Huang Wenhao, Head of MED Imaging AI’s Overseas Business Division, took the stage to provide global attendees with a detailed introduction to the company’s development history and technology philosophy. He also focused on explaining the underlying logic and clinical value of the company’s flagship products and solutions, as well as the technical advantages enabled by Huawei.

The IAS solution showcased by MED Imaging AI is an intelligent diagnosis and treatment platform built on its independently developed ultrasound visual backbone network. The solution can perform real-time lesion localization, boundary segmentation, feature recognition, and assisted benign/malignant differentiation for more than 20 organs and anatomical sites, including the thyroid, breast, and abdominal organs. Its core module, Thyroid Nodule Ultrasound Imaging Assisted Diagnosis Software (ITS200), is a “pathology-grade” AI diagnostic software certified as a Class III medical device by China’s National Medical Products Administration. Benchmarked against the pathological gold standard, it can provide real-time, dynamic assisted benign/malignant diagnosis for nodules of 5 mm and above, with an accuracy rate of up to 96%. Representatives of telecom operators, industry media journalists, and leading medical experts from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and other regions visited MED Imaging AI’s booth. Many experts personally operated and gained an in-depth understanding of MED Imaging AI’s products, highly commending their ease of use, real-time analysis, and accuracy of results. Multiple medical experts stated that the solution offers a highly promising practical tool for addressing insufficient diagnostic resources at primary healthcare institutions and improving the consistency of diagnostic standards. They also expressed strong recognition of the technological approach integrating AI deeply with ultrasound.

This in-depth cross-sector collaborative showcase vividly demonstrates the integration of Huawei’s “Advancing All Intelligence” strategy with MED Imaging AI’s professional medical AI capabilities. By seamlessly integrating MED Imaging AI solutions such as IAS with Huawei’s full-stack ICT foundation spanning network, computing, and storage, the two parties have jointly built an end-to-end intelligent healthcare system covering remote diagnosis, inclusive primary care, and data value mining. This collaboration not only marks the acceleration of the ecosystem model combining a “leading foundation” with “professional applications” in advancing the intelligence of global healthcare systems, but also provides an approach to addressing global challenges such as unequal distribution of medical resources and disparities in diagnostic capabilities through deployable technology solutions.
