The transaction has closed
CareRay’s announcement of 18 April 2024 states that the company and its wholly owned Singapore subsidiary completed payment and closing formalities and received ISDI share certificates, completing the acquisition of a 30% interest for GBP12 million.
TFT and CMOS portfolios complement each other
ISDI develops, manufactures and sells high-performance CMOS X-ray detectors and CMOS image sensors for medical, industrial and research applications. Alongside its existing TFT flat-panel platform, CareRay therefore expands into interventional procedures, dental and veterinary imaging, industrial inspection, preclinical research and life-science imaging.
Technology expansion supports more imaging entry points
CMOS technology offers characteristics such as high speed and small pixels. For CareRay, the investment first expands detector technologies and the product portfolio, while also providing a hardware basis for connecting more imaging modalities, data types and intelligent-analysis scenarios.
