CareRay gains control of Maide Intelligence as multimodal imaging integration advances

The change of control has been registered

CareRay’s investment progress announcement dated 1 July states that the company paid the agreed consideration and acquired a 46.4571% interest in Maide Intelligence. Mai Xiang Gong Ying also entrusted CareRay with the shareholder rights, including voting rights, attached to its 4.2784% interest. CareRay therefore controls 50.7355% of Maide Intelligence’s voting rights, and the related corporate registration changes have been completed.

Extending from X-ray imaging to ultrasound AI

CareRay’s established business is built on digital X-ray flat-panel detectors, image acquisition and imaging-chain technology. Maide Intelligence adds products, data, an R&D team and primary-care ultrasound applications, extending the intelligent-imaging portfolio into ultrasound. At a June investor exchange, CareRay described the integration as “X-ray + ultrasound + AI quality control + assisted diagnosis + structured data”.

The transaction connects different imaging modalities, but the multimodal diagnostic system remains under development. Product functions, medical-device registrations, hospital deployment and business contribution remain subject to subsequent announcements and product documentation.

Next steps focus on product, R&D and market coordination

CareRay stated that it will continue the post-transaction work and integrate governance, R&D direction, market resources and operating efficiency. The transaction announcement also identifies risks including short-term losses, performance delivery, integration, key personnel and goodwill impairment.
